It's so easy to spend zero time on yourself
It is so easy to spend zero time on yourself.
It’s so easy to arrive at the end of a day and realize you have spent the entirety of it looking outside, serving everything outside yourself - including serving only your future self.
Imagine having a conversation with someone who looks everywhere but at you.
It’s draining.
It’s certainly not replenishing.
Moving from your thoughts circling your kids, your job, your spouse, how to solve your problems, your boss, your failures, your memories, and everything outside of you to just a few minutes per day of reassurance to your PRESENT SELF that
Hey - you got you
Is a reassurance that literally no one else can offer you.
I was enraged every day at my ex for not giing me what I wanted when I learned that I could give at least some of my list of desires to myself.
Give yourself the opportunity to check in, look at you, and give yourself just a taste of the attention you gift the rest of the world, to its benefit.
I’m going to share my favorite forms of meditation over the next few weeks leading up to the launch of my new book course, We Are All Shamans, where I give you explicit instructions on what to do to tune in in the fastest, most efficient way possible to your own inner magic that has been waiting all along to be discovered and celebrated.
I love you. In my own tough times these have been supportive practices that have buoyed me through to the other side without making what I went through my enemy or accepting the title of victim for myself.
I may not have everything I want all the time, but I have all the tools I need (for now) about how to be with what I have without hating myself or projecting hatred onto other people. Even finding joy in the things I didn’t expect to happen, and being my own best friend.
If meditation has been a challenge for you or you are looking for some new forms to try and shake up the way you’ve been treating yourself and other people:

My favorite forms of meditation (I’m aiming for 5-minute versions of all of them!) and how to do them coming soon, followed by the book We Are All Shamans where you tune into your own exclusive powerful way to be in the world. It might not look like you’ve been thinking.
