Some Respite for the Overthinker
“Respite” is a nice word, isn’t it?
When your mind is at its most contracted, heavy looping, sit for an hour.
Just you and a timer.
With the knowledge that whatever pulls incessantly at your insides trying to get you to leave that space is simply something that doesn’t like the feeling or sensations of what’s happening. It’s trying to find a way away from the sensations.
If you continue to sit, to identify the feeling and be with what is attempting to be clawed away from, you’ll find relief.
